My approach
Healing is not about fixing ourselves, it's about coming home to who we are and learning to be with ourselves more gently

You don't have to do it alone. Most trauma is inter-relational so there is power is sitting with another human and remembering how to relate with safety
The heart of my approach
Trauma-informed and relational
I recognise that our experiences shape how we show up in the space and in the moment.
Safety, choice and relationships are therefore central to the work
Body led and Somatic
Our experiences live in the body as well as the mind. We explore sensations, emotions, tensions, impulses and patterns to deepen understanding and support nervous system regulation
Curious and Compassionate
I bring warmth, curiosity, and honesty to the work. We can explore what is happening without judgement or needing to force anything to change
Integrative and Flexible
There is no single route through healing. I draw from different therapeutic and embodied practices, depending on what feels useful and appropriate for you

The body is part of the story

Our experiences can show up in our body, through sensations, holding patterns, tension, movement, breath, stillness.
These patterns can provide us with additional information and can be a way of accessing experiences that would otherwise be difficult.
There is no requirement to focus on the body, it's simply another way in. An option
How we work together
We each have our own history, ways of making sense of the world and ways of protecting ourselves.

In sessions we:
In the early stages of therapy, we focus on creating a space that feels safe enough to explore what arises with curiosity and care.
Our sessions don’t need to follow an agenda, and there is no right or wrong way to ‘do therapy’. Your mind, body and nervous system have their own wisdom, and we can trust that what needs attention will emerge in its own time.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different approaches and adapt our work to what feels most helpful for you. Sometimes that might mean talking things through; at other times, it might involve noticing what is happening in your body, sitting in silence, slowing down, or simply allowing something to be present without needing to make sense of it straight away.
We don’t need to force anything to happen. There is no need to dig for answers or push towards a breakthrough. We can move at a pace that feels right for you, allowing things to unfold over time.
