Trauma Informed Somatic Talk Therapy
Using talk and somatics we can meet experience gently, supporting the mind, body and nervous system to release tension, process emotion and integrate trauma
What is somatic talk therapy?
It's a way of approaching therapy that brings together traditional talk therapy with somatic awareness.

The basis of our sessions is still conversation- through words, expressions of emotion, and sometimes through the quiet spaces in between, we gently explore your experiences past and present, your relationships with others and with yourself, and anything else that feels important.
Alongside this, we pay attention to what is happening in the body and nervous system, also creating space to explore those experiences with gentleness and curiosity.

Together, we can create a space for your mind, body and soul, to remember (or perhaps experience for the first time) what safety feels like
What therapy might involve
Talking and being heard- exploring your experiences, thoughts, feelings, patterns and memories.
Listening to the Body- noticing sensations, emotions and responses that words don't always capture
Understanding your nervous system-developing ways to feel more grounded, supported and connected
Finding new ways forward- healing and integrating old experiences in order to make choices more aligned to who you are now

What this therapy may support with
You don't need to arrive with a clear understanding of what's wrong. You might simply know that something isn't working anymore, or that you're ready to understand yourself differently.
Trauma, PTSD and complex trauma
Anxiety, overwhelm, over-active mind
Relationship and attachment issues
Grief, loss, life transitions
Feeling stuck, disconnected or lost
Difficulties with identity and belonging

We don’t need to force or dig for answers.
We move at a pace that feels right for your nervous system, whilst still being with what is difficult.
